If you have a hankering for Thai food, there is a new halal Thai eatery for you to try out in Lorong Chuan. Including this other halal Thai eatery in Hougang, it seems like North-east siders have more options than ever to curb their tom yum cravings.
Saveur Thai is a newly halal-certified Thai restaurant located in new mall NTP+ in Lorong Chuan. According to its website, the brand was established in 2014 and helmed by a team of chefs from Thailand

Tom Yum Tiger Prawn Red Soup (S$14.90)
We’re already salivating looking at this classic Thai soup. The red soup is also available in other versions: chicken (S$7.90) and seafood (S$8.90).
Isan Beef Clear Soup with Thai Herbs (S$15.90)
They looks like a bowl of warmth and comfort especially on a rainy day.
Isan Grilled Black Angus Beef (S$22.90)
Need more meat to bite into? This beef dish that comes with spicy Thai BBQ sauce should appeal to all meat lovers.
Signature Steamed Giant Squid with Thai Lime Sauce (S$18.90)
If you’re more of a surf than turf kind of diner, this dish comes highly recommended.

However, if you’re dining with another person, there is also an all-day set menu that is more bang for your buck.

The space
Located in relatively new NTP+ Mall, the space that Saveur Thai occupies is airy and bright, a very important consideration if we’re going to stuff ourselves with a fiery bowl of tom yum.
The walls are also painted a warm milky orange which reminds us a lot of Thai Milk Tea. Seems appropriate.

Two other outlets in coffeeshops
Aside from its restaurant, Saveur Thai is also present in two coffeeshops at Clementi Avenue 4 and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8.
The coffeeshop menu is slightly different than the restaurant, and expectedly, the prices here are cheaper too. So if you’re nearby and seeking affordable Thai food, this could be an option.
