For those tired of mainstream Western fare, here’s something new and unconventional to introduce your tastebuds.

Abang Western Power is a stall at Deli Coffee Shop in Ang Mo Kio selling burgers with a twist, as well as other western classics.

Burgers with international flavours

The stall’s speciality is undeniably its burgers, and these are not the run-of-the-mill bread and meat patties combo you might expect from the typical western food shop.

A variety of multi-cultural flavours lends uniqueness to the burgers here, available in beef and chicken options.

The burgers are reasonably priced, with prices ranging from S$8.20 – S$9.20 per serving inclusive of fries.

Here’s a look at some of them:

A signature item of Abang Western Power, this sloppy burger features double juicy home-made beef patties dressed with cheese and caramelised onions in between two toasted brioche buns.

A local chicken burger given a Korean twist! Juicy chicken thigh is topped with cheese and actual kimchi for that added zing.

If you’re more adventurous, other bold flavours on the burger menu include Szechuan and Masala.

Perfect for sharing or kids, the Sliders Set features mini versions of two of the stall’s burger offerings: Abang beef burger and masala spiced chicken burger.

Chicken chop, ribeye steak, and fish & chips

Burgers aside, the Muslim-owned stall also serves other familiar favourites like Chicken Chop (S$7.80), Ribeye Steak (S$14.20) and Grilled Salmon with Butter Cream Sauce (S$12.80).

Customers get to choose two sides and one sauce to go along with their mains.

If you’re looking for more fish options, the stall’s Fish & Chips (S$7.80) might be of interest. The breaded version is likely something most are accustomed to, but there’s also a UK style version that coats the fish in a crispy battered crust.

Pasta

Whilst we agree that the burgers and western classics look super tempting, don’t dismiss the pastas on the menu just yet.

Abang Western Power offers six types of pasta from S$5.80 onwards.
