On Mar 11, Ah Lock & Co., an eatery located at Guoco Tower in Tanjong Pagar took to social media to announce that it is now halal-certified.
The homegrown eatery specialises in a variety of Hakka Rice Bowls with modern twists such as:
- Hakka Crispy Chicken Bowl (S$7.80)
- Hakka Karnibowl (S$9.90)
- Hakka Salmon Rice Bowl (S$11.80)
- Hakka Black Beef Rice Bowl (S$12.90)
If you’re looking for vegan/vegetarian options, you can also opt for their Hakka Vege Rice Bowl (S$7.80) or Hakka Impossible Rice Bowl (S$11.80) featuring Impossible “meatballs”.
You can view the full menu here.
End the meal on a sweet note or take a quick tea break with their min jiang kuehs (S$1.60 each), a traditional old school delight similar to apam balik.
Unlike the savoury items, the pancakes have much lesser variety and lean more towards the traditional side.
Only three fillings are available: peanut, red bean and coconut.
Alternatively, the Matcha Tofu Pudding (S$1.60) could also be a good tea-time snack if you’re a fan of green tea.
Located at the basement of Guoco Tower, Ah Lock & Co. has a decently sized seating area for customers to dine in.
Alternatively, customers can also pre-order for pickup or delivery via their website ordering form, and major food delivery platforms.
