Bubble tea shop in Bedok serves over 30 drinks in the menu with free toppings like halal popping boba and cheese foam

Chill lepak place.

The Lepak Club is a store selling bubble tea in Bedok.

As it is a Muslim-owned shop, the ingredients used in their drinks are halal-certified, including popping boba which are pop-in-your-mouth juicy balls typically made from fruit pulp.

The shop is currently less than 6 months old, having only opened in December 2021.

Connected to a barber shop

Unlike most neighbourhood bubble tea shops, The Lepak Club is situated right next to a barber shop called Limpeh Barber Shop.

This is unsurprising as both businesses share the same owner, a Malay lady by the name of Fidd Osman.

According to the video below by The Smart Local, Fidd is a young Malay barber making her mark in a male-dominated industry by starting her own barber shop and subsequently, the bubble tea shop.

Both businesses stemmed from Fidd’s passions in barbering and making bubble tea, and whilst they may seem like an odd pairing, I think it’s pure genius.

As someone who often thumbs my phone idly while waiting for my turn at the barber’s, lepak-ing with a cup of bubble tea in hand is a luxury I never imagined I needed.

In the meantime, here’s a look at the store:
