Wanderlost to open its sister outlet Fairytail in Outram on September 3

The team behind Tanjong Pagar-based rooftop bar and grill Wanderlost Lounge is to open another halal dining rooftop venue Fairytail on September 3 at the peak of D’Hotel Singapore in Outram.

Fairytail actually had its soft launch in late March and was slated to open in April.

However, they had to put that on hold due to the Circuit Breaker measures that were put in place then.

After four months, the brand finally announced its official opening date on social media.

Fairytail is the latest brand by Seriously Fun Collective, a food and beverage group that manages Wanderlost Lounge, amongst other interesting brands.

Prior to Wanderlost Lounge, the team was also responsible for now defunct Atap Bar, Singapore’s first halal rooftop bar in Arab Street.

In classic Atap Bar style, the drinks menu will feature bespoke mocktails inspired by and named after birds, hence the name Fairytail.

Customers can expect to discover unique drinks like Asian Koel (Sumatran coffee beans, cinnamon elixir gula melaka), Toco Toucan (Lavender elixir, mint leaves, lime juice, Sprite) and Bird of Paradise (pandan emulsion, pineapple, coconut, ajwain elixir and lime juice).

The mocktails range from $13 to $16.

As with the other establishments, these drinks are no doubt created by The Halal Mixologist, the brains behind these creative halal F&B concepts.

Meanwhile, the food menu features modern European cuisine with local influences.

Interesting options include the Pita Chilli Crab Bao ($12), Grilled Lemak Gulai Prawns ($21) and Pulled Beef Rendang Penne ($23).

Food and drinks aside, Fairytail’s unique selling point is definitely the bird’s eye view it offers from its vantage point at the top of D’Hotel.

Diners are treated to sweeping views of Tiong Bahru and Outram Park.

The venue also has both indoor and outdoor seating areas, making it perfect for a romantic dinner and then drinks afterward.
