Now that we have settled into a new normal post Circuit Breaker, it’s back to the grind on our never-ending quest to unearth new gems in Singapore.
This month is starting off strong with a slew of fresh eateries planning their grand opening this week. One such eatery that caught our attention is Love, Food Club.
The casual-style eatery is located along Perak Road, a mere two minutes walk away from Rochor MRT Station.
After releasing teasers on social media since late July, the restaurant finally announced its official opening date, which is September 9, last week.
Love, Food Club is a new F&B venture by Love, Nina Zazali, a local lifestyle and clothing brand.
According to their social media, the restaurant will be a casual-style eatery with good food and good music.
Whilst they have released the food menu, it is still unclear what the music aspect would be.
Lots of options in menu
The menu features a wide array of food spanning multiple cuisines.
While there are local culinary representatives like Nasi Lemak ($5), Kaya Toast with Half Boiled Egg ($4) and Nasi Goreng Kampong ($7), other international dishes such as Eggs Benedict ($14), pasta (from $14) and 12-inch pizza (from $12), will also be served.
Additionally, satay (from $9 for 10 sticks) and even a steamboat set ($35) will be available.
The drinks menu is just as extensive, if not more, than the food menu.
Familiar hot and cold beverages like teh tarik ($1.50) and Milo Dinosaur ($2.20) are available.
Interestingly, there is an entire section in the drinks menu that is dedicated solely to a beloved Singaporean beverage: bubble tea.
Serious about bubble tea
The bubble tea menu is so extensive, we are beginning to think the restaurant is a bubble tea shop in disguise.
As with most bubble tea shops, customers will be able to customise their bubble tea by choosing the tea (milk tea, green tea, fruit juice or blended concoctions) and adding their favourite toppings.
There are also some hot options like honey milk tea and Jasmine green tea.
And yes, you can choose your desired sugar level and size (Regular or Large).
