Wayang is a virtual F&B business specialising in Nusantara cuisine. Nusantara is Indonesian for ‘archipelago’; hence the dishes here are influenced by the diverse islands that make up the country of Indonesia.

In particular, Wayang focuses on rice-based dishes in its menu. However, customers can choose from 3 different types of rice: white, yellow or lime.

Recently, the brand announced on social media that they are now halal-certified.

Here are some dishes you can look forward to from Wayang.

Also, what is Indonesian cuisine without the all-important sambal?! Thankfully, every rice dish from Wayang also comes with a choice of exotic chilli, though we wish they’d just give all three!

Where & how to buy

As Wayang is a virtual brand without a physical dine-in space, the only way to get their food is via delivery.

As of today, Wayang is available on GrabFood, FoodPanda and Deliveroo only. However, if you’re far from where they operate, you might not be able to order from those delivery platforms.

Here are the 2 locations of Wayang’s kitchens for your reference:

  • 304 Orchard Road #01-45 Lucky Plaza, Singapore 238863
  • 11 Rivervale Crescent, #01-08 Rivervale Mall, Singapore 545082

So, people staying in Sengkang/Punggol and working around Orchard Road, you’re in luck. Go ahead and order from Wayang.
