If you’re in Geylang Serai and hankering for a bite other than Nasi Padang, you might want to check out Asian Spyces.
The small cafe is located on the second floor of Millage right beside the Geylang Serai market, with both indoor and al fresco seating.
The food
Malay food is ubiquitous in Geylang, so the food offered here which are predominantly soup noodles of other Asian origins are a refreshing change.
The menu is quite straightforward; just follow these steps:
- Select a Main Set (Chicken S$9.80, Beef S$10.80, Seafood S$12.80)
- Select a Soup Base (Herbal Chicken, Mala, Tomyam, Tomato, Mushroom)
- Select Noodle/Rice
- Select Sauce
If you’re looking to indulge a little, you can also choose to add optional add-ons for S$1 – S$3 like fishballs, mussels and prawns.
Since we know most of you prefer to see photos than read, here’s an idea of what you can get here:
Herbal Chicken
Mala Beef
Tomyam Seafood
Bento Rice
Soup noodles aside, the cafe also serves a range of Bento Rice (S$7.80) with flavourful options like Curry Chicken, Lemon Chicken and Satay Chicken.
If you cannot head down to Asian Spyces, you can also order their food via all major food delivery platforms.
Interestingly, the prices on these platforms have no mark-ups (i.e., they are the same as in-store prices), but we’re not sure if this is permanent, so do your own due diligence before adding to cart.
