Yakiniku Shokudo, a relatively new Japanese yakiniku restaurant in IMM is now officially halal-certified!
With Japan Foods Holding behind it, diners can look forward to a BBQ experience with a variety of Wagyu Beef and Chicken in a comfortable setting.
As of the time of writing, Yakinuku Shokudo is opening another outlet at Lot One Shoppers’ Mall, but bear in mind that only the IMM outlet is halal-certified for now.

The airy dining space, furnished in shades of black and white, also sports wooden beams to form a roof-like design element.
If you’re not familiar with the name, Japan Foods Holding is perhaps best known for their halal-certified chain of Ramen and Tendon restaurant, Tokyo Shokudo.

Halal Japanese BBQ
Yakiniku Shokudu primarily serves up a variety of beef sets meant for BBQ, with cuts ranging from sirloin, karubi (short rib) to tongue and ribeye.
Depending on your appetite, some items to try are the Beef Sirloin Steak (S$17.90), Beef Karubi Set (from S$9.90), and Wagyu Beef Set (S$26.90).
More adventurous carnivores might even appreciate the Beef Tongue Set (S$16.90), which has been described as having a soft, mild texture.
If you’re more of a fowl fan, chicken sets are also available.
Alternatively, there are also dons (rice bowls) on the menu if you prefer a quick meal — these include the popular Hokkaido Beef Curry Don (S$14.90) and Salted Chicken Don (S$12.90).
They also serve sides like corn with butter, sausage and edamame.
